Description:
This is a great set of 4 period english Regency Klismos form side or dining chairs that date to c. 1820-30. All chairs are in very good original condition with a couple of minor losses, as shown in photos. These klismos form chairs are of solid mahogany and feature a beautifull carved center bar, carved front legs with out swept back legs. The klismos form is one of the earliest forms of chairs dating back to ancient Greece. The chairs have been newly upholstered in a beautiful cobalt blue silk.
