Description:
This is a wonderful pair of late Louis XIV/Regence brass candlesticks that date to c. 1730-40. Both sticks are in excellent to good overall condition and are vertical with no discernible repairs or restorations. One stick has a very fine line (barely visible) to one edge where the brass has worn through due to centuries of polishing. Originally these sticks were silvered, now only traces of the silvering remain on the underside.
