Great pair of mid-20th century lacquered chests of drawers in the style of James Mont. These chests are very sophisticated with a black lacquer case, cherry fronted drawers and a sculptural lacquered plinth. These chests are not marked but the quality is top notch, the drawers are dovetailed and the scolloped brass hardware is very heavy and exhibits beautifully detailed casting. The unique plinth adds the perfect touch, making these exceptional examples of mid-century furniture. The case and plinth have been relacquered in black, but the cherry drawer fronts retain their original finish. The chests are sold as a pair. Thanks for visiting.
