Description:
This is an eceptional pair of c. 1870 French Bronze Console bases. These Louis XV-style cast bronze consoles are a true find. They are in exceptionally good condition with a naturally acquired patina; no breaks or restorations are visible. The casting features scrolling acanthus leaves, naturalistic vines, impressive bronze finials, snail form feet and a beautiful center stretcher. These bases could be supports for a glass topped dining table, bistro tables, dressing or writing table, bedside tables, even exceptional bathroom vanities. Thick 3/4" glass tops are on order.
