Description:
This is a beautiful opaline Murano lamp dating to the late 1950s and is attributed to Barovier & Toso (it lost its stickers).  The raspberry glass has been cased and ribbed in opaline which melds to a pink shade. The glass section is in mint condition and has been seated on a new custom 2.5" lucite plinth and given new top quality electrical fittings. The lamp measures 25" in height from the table to the top of the socket. The process for making opaline glass involves blowing powdered lead into the glass and, therefore, this glass is no longer made and is becoming increasingly rare.
