Description:Shown is the first of two beautiful 12" diameter Japanese Imari Chargers that date to circa 1875-1885. This is a highly detailed and fine porcelain with a scolloped rim and many floral reserves of various forms. There is gold detailing to the pattern which is all in excellent condition. The charger is in overal fine condition showing no chips, flakes or cracks. I have included the chargers in the Fine Art listing (as well as the Objects listing) as I consider them to be works of arts and great examples of Imari porcelain that dates to this time frame. This piece has a little bit of a "wave" to the body indicating that the porcelain was hand thrown. Thanks for visiting.
