Description:
This is a wonderfully carved very long 10 ft. Chinese mid-19th century altar table. The table features double pedestals carved with high relief buddhistic lions (foo dogs) and extensive fretwork. The ends of the pedestals have one dovetailed drawer. All of the fretwork is present and in good condition. The table retains its original surface and has just been polished with several coats of hard paste wax. There is age shrinkage to the top boards.
