Description:
This is a beautiful small impressionist plein aire landscape oil-on-canvas painted in the late 19th c. The piece is signed at lower left, I have not yet identified the signature, but the painting was executed by a very competent artist. The back of the stretcher is stenciled with the name "C.R.Crowley" and the frames is insccribed "From the Estate of Charles Laughton and Eva Lancaster"-iconic Old Hollywood stars.
