Description:
This is a wonderful c. 1870-1880 French pale oak table in the Gothic taste. Note the gothic detailing to the to the skirt, the middle stretcher and the form of the legs. It has a wonderful petite size allowing it to be truly multi-purpose--bedside table, computer table, small server--even an intimate breakfast table. Please note the shrinkage to the top boards (indication of age) and the small loss where the peg attaches the center stretcher. The table would look great in any informal or country setting.
