Description:
Stunning period French Empire figured mahogany and ormolu daybed or bed. All elements of this bed appear to be in original as found condition. There are very tiny restorations to a couple of spots of veneer. The condition of the bed is exceptional, it retains an old finish (possibly the original finish) and its original--still gilt--ormolu mounts. The beautiful graining of the wood, condition and the ormolu detailing make this an exceptional example of this style of French Empire furniture.
