Description:
This is a period English Regency solid plum pudding mahogany tilt-top breakfast that dates to c. 1810-20. This wonderful table has many of the elements that make this form of table very desirable: single board (38" wide) top with reeded edges, reeded saber legs and fine brass casters. The 48" lenth allows it to seat 4 very comforatbly, but will seat 6 when required. The top has an old, but not original surface and the pedestal base appears to retain its original surface. The original brass tilt hardware is present; the bolts that secure the top to the pedestal have been replaced.
