Description:
Unusual Chinese 19th c. carved rosewood pedestal table. This table exemplifies the highest level of artistry and skill. The pedestal is beautifully carved rosewood root work terminating in three root work feet; the top is finely carved rosewood with a 14 lobed insert marble top. The top is attached to the pedestal with removable wide pegs. All elements are original and in excellent condition; there is some shrinkage to the top which is to be expected of an item of this age.
