Nineteen Century Awamba (Kenya) tribal carved and incised gourd bottle. This vessel show great artistic detail with incised giraffes, people, snakes, house and other elements it was been beautifully and artistically repaired with braided leather strapping. This size, age and attention to detail make this a superb decorative example of antique African tribal/folk art--it would be outstanding in a mid-century room or as a couterpoint in a more trditional setting.
