Description:
This is a great late 19th or early 20th century French iron and marble top console. The console is in excellent original condition, with the exception of the restored thick (1 inch) black marble top. The forged iron base is of trestle form and retains its great original patina; the hand chiseled iron is beautifully worked and minimal in form. This console is multipurpose and would hold its own in any setting--dining room, living, entrance hall or outside loggia. Please note: the marble top is original but has been professionally and invisibly restored. Thanks for visiting.  (As you can see--I just repainted my walls!)
