Description:
This is a handsome and ever-popular 20th c. surveyor wood and brass tripod that has been fitted at a floor lamp. This lamp is a great accent piece for a library, family room or office, as well as a beach home (think spyglass). I know, I know--Restoration Hardware has a surveyor tripod lamp--but the one shown above is much more refined, mahogany legs, higher quality brass fittings, smaller in scale and (frankly, in my opinion) better style than the RH model (it is also considerably less expensive and vintage). The tripod is in excellent condition and it can be adjusted to a much taller height. The shade has some imperfections, but is still acceptable. Thanks for visiting.
