This is a unusual pair of Sang de Boeuf or Ox Blood lamps that have been further decorated with a raised multi-color drip glaze that extend from the mouth of the vase past the mid-point. I have attempted to research the origin of this unique ceramic, but have not discovered anything similar. The vases are fitted with both a traditional gilt wood base and a classic mid-century marble base further adding to the mystery. We have had the lamps rewired with top notch brass electrical fittings and silk wrapped wire.
