Pair Large Chinese Iron-Red Foo Dog Vases, Early 20th c. Qing
This is a great pair of Chinese Export, Late Qing c, 1900-1920, Rouge de Fer or Iron-Red tall vases decorated with traditional Foo Dogs to the fronts and poems to the backs. These happy present an opposing stance and are playing with their puppies. A Flaming Pearl of Wisdom is shown over the dogs' heads. Both vases are in excellent original condition--they have not been drilled which adds to their desirability. Vases of this size and this condition are increasingly more difficult to source. The softer color tone of the decoration enables the vases to be positioned in a multitude of spot with the general layout of the home.
Dimensions: 16.5”h x 7”w
Condition: Very good.
