Late George III Rosewood Sofa Table, c. 1790-1810

$0.00

This is a very good example of a late George III Sofa Table. In addition to its classical design, the table is crafted in rosewood and banded in satinwood. The drawers and out swept legs are also banded and inlaid in satinwood. The harp-form side supports are joined by a turned stretcher; the feet terminate in their original brass casters and beautifully cast lion paw caps. The table has been refinished in a true French polish. Sofa Tables, in addition to the traditional placement behind a sofa, make wonderful writing tables for use in a bedroom or as a generous bedside tables.
