Italian Neo-Classical Chest of Drawers, Early 19th Century
This is a charming early 19th century Italian Neo-classical chest of drawers. The chest's conformation is two short drawers over two long drawers raised on tall legs. It is veneered in a fruitwood with line inlay highlighting its form. Each drawer features an ebony inlay outlining the drawer. The chest retains its original brass hardware. The chest is in very good sturdy form; we have restored veneer to several small areas-principally the lower front edge of the chest. This is a wonderfully proportioned chest--allowing it to adapt to multiple spaces--from a generous bedside table to living room to an entry way. **We will be posting additional photos shortly.
