French Belle Epoque Mirror
This is a very decorative Mantle or Full-Length mirror that dates to c. 1880-1910, the French Belle Epoque period. This mirror is beautifully carved with lily leaves and multiple flower swags. The mirror retains its original glass. and its original gold leafed surface. A couple of leaf tips are being restored; otherwise, the mirror is in very good to excellent condition for its age and use. The mirror is ready for another 100+ years of use as a focal point in a living room or principal bedroom.
*The Belle Epoque period stretched from c. 1872 through to the beginning of WWI. In France, especially Paris, it was a time of tremendous cultural and scientific growth.
