This is charming Chinese Export Silver Overlay small decanter that could be used as either a cologne bottle or aperitif decanter. The beautifully detailed reticulated Cherry Blossom design of the sterling (marked 950) overlay is finely cast and hand etched with all elements firmly fitted to the Pinch bottle. The neck of the decanter is fitted with a sterling collar and the original stopper is also overlaid with silver. Chinese Export Silver Overlay is noted for its quality of design and fabrication; decanters of this quality and condition are very desirable as they add elegance to any design scheme in which they are placed.
