This is a highly evocative small finely cast bronze sculpture of a Mother and Child by the noted Mexican artist Jose Kuri-Brena (1914 - 2004). The sculpture tells the story of a young mother and newborn with the mother in the act of covering herself and the baby. It is a very intimate moment and pulls the viewer in emotionally.
