Description:
Pair of early 20th c. bronze seated Buddha figures fitted as lamps. This early 20th c. pair of bronze bookends was redesigned by MJH Design with unique custom chinoiserie bases, the lighting fittings are of the highest quality. The bronze Buddhas measure 5"w x 8"h x 4.75"d and retain their original patina. Although unmarked, I believe them to be American bronzes dating to around 1920. The lamps have been embellished with Brazilian rock crystal custom finials and slightly outsized linen shades.  As with all of our designs, the lamps were created in California.
