Description:
This is a great pair of Japanese, early Meiji, pricket sticks. These sticks are in excellent condition and a have acquired just the right amount of patina over the last century. All elements of the sticks are original. I love the carved rosette detailing where the shaft meets the wide base--note the contrasting of the dark rosewood and fine carving of the rosettes against the otherwise minimalism of the sticks. These prickets sticks are exceptionally well-priced for their age, detailing and size (ple ase refer to other on-line sites for price point). Sold as a pair. Thanks for looking.
