Shown is a British Colonial Camphor Wood Campaign Trunk dating to the second half of the 19th century. The trunk is in very good overall condition and it retains its original footed stand that can be disassembled to facilitate moving to a new military post. The brass detailing is complete and in excellent condition. This is an iconic form of military furniture, this particular example is of a small size. The trunk could be used as a coffee table or lamp table and it would also provide great hidden storage.
